Below will be a brief description of the units of the Vanguard, what they stand for, and where they hope to accomplish.

Description: The Aegis of Lordaeron stands in direct defiance of the Horde's control of their Kingdom's traditional lands, a resolute contingent that exists solely to let the world know that Lordaeron may have fallen, but it is far from crushed. Noble and common-born alike are embraced as brothers in this contingent, and those whom bear loyalty to this unit come from a great variety of backgrounds and crafts. The commanding officer has something of an unorthodox style as far as leadership goes, though the men within his command are well-trained and prepared for upcoming battles. These men and women refuse to allow the last chapter of Lordaeron's history be one of defeat, and hope to someday reclaim their lands and livelihoods from Horde control. Plague-ridden or otherwise, one's homeland means much, and it reflects in the actions of this contingent.

Description: The Guardians of Ashenvale seek first to reclaim their homelands, and protect them from harm. So close to the Horde territories, the Guardians stand as a homeland defense operation, as well as a clean up mission to rid their overrun lands of Horde influence. Secondly, they seek to make their needs as a people known, and offer in return a helpful ally in the Alliance (as well as the Vanguard) as well as to create what would be the only secure foothold the Alliance have in Kalimdor. All who would fight for their people and home would be welcome. The commanding officer has adapted his own different views and lifestyle from his kin, though those he commands shall be prepared for all that will come with cleaning up their home, and defending it for their people. This contingent seeks to see it's homeland flourish again, and defend every bit it can.

Description: No one knows better the wrath of the Horde than Gilnean's. We have suffered the oppression of our brethren, and now the Forsaken who drive us from our ancestral lands. Too long have we stood in the shadows of our shame. Now is the time to rise and fight against a common enemy; the Horde. The Gilnean Wall stands as a line of defense to protect loyalists and their interests in the recovery of Gilneas. Individually, Caeleyn Silverblade serves as a battle cleric for the Grand Alliance Army. Her role in the Gilnean Wall as its leader is to fund, invest and advance their interests in any way she can. Her family name has carried her into the folds of the Vanguard, to reunite with the other human nations under this banner of common interest. Our goal is to make sure that Gilneas never falls under another shadow of darkness. Whether we have to fight or bribe our way to success, we will do what we must for King and country.

Description: Just because a nation has fallen does not mean that it has died. It has been too long since the proud colors of red and white have been flown. The fist of Stromgarde will rise again and it will rise to crush the Horde and all those against them. The ruins of Stromgarde will not be claimed by thieves and beasts but instead owned once more by the proud people who were forced to run from it. The Crimson Order accepts any who seek vengeance for what was once lost. While primarily militant, the commanding officer believes in maintaining a strong presence in politics so they won't be thrown to the wayside by their ally's ever again in an hour of need. The Order seeks to reclaim all that was lost and restore the pride and honor of saying you are Stromgarde born. We will not run, we are not afraid. We are strong and our fist seeks vengeance.

Description: Both Alliance and Stormwind loyal, the Stormwind Battalion is one of the stronger lines of defenses Stormwind harbors. Those in the battalion have sworn to protect King and country at all costs, they fight for the glory of the Alliance and the safety of their home. Their ranks consist solely of humans who call the Alliance their home and valiantly fight under the banner of blue and gold, though many of their numbers are guards and footmen of Stormwind, their are also various soldiers of the Grand Alliance Army. They are the brawn of Stormwind, the sword and shield, as sturdy as the stone their city is made of, they have sworn to bring glory to the Alliance, to rid Azeroth of the Horde and assure their world is faced with a brighter future. Description: With the recent devastation on Theramore, the wounds from this Horde attack are very fresh. The leader of the Bladesworn is determined to make those who took away his home and killed his people pay. Gathering together all those who were in some way affected by this tragedy, his goal is to rebuild, replenish, and knock down anyone who stands in their way. Family of those stationed in Thermore are welcomed and offered a chance to fight for their lost loved ones. Soldiers and clerics who had been away from their home at the time of destruction are offered the opportunity to take back what once belonged to them. The time for mourning is over, and the time for vengeance is upon us.
