How long have you been playing World of Warcraft?

I have also had alts in a variety of guilds on both Wyrmrest Accord and Moonguard, as well as been involved with raiding guilds on Altar of Storms.

What is your biggest goal for the Mists of Pandaria expansion?
One heroic boss kill. I don't care which, nor when, but it will happen.

Other than roleplay, what other aspects of the game do you enjoy?
In the past I've mainly enjoyed high-end PvP at endgame, but am currently getting back into PvE as a tank after a hiatus extending from WotLK.

How much experience do you have with roleplay, both in-game and outside of it?
Roughly a decade total on online mediums, since 2008 on WoW. Been an avid LARPer for 13 years.

What does metagaming mean to you? Is it ever acceptable?
Metagaming is when a player allows their OOC knowledge to be used by the character they play, when the character would have no way of knowing said thing. An example would be the name of someone they have never met, or guild affiliation. It is only acceptable in closed storyline with all parties agreeing.

What do you expect from The Vanguard, as a guild?
Light worship as a sovereign deity will suffice.

Brief Appearance Description:
Nearly everything about this man might come across as alarming, save for the ever-amused smile he consistently wears.

Nathaen stands at a towering height, his build a blessing to his profession as a shieldman. Broad shoulders taper into a barrel-chested torso and solid legs; The templar is clearly a man that values extensive combat training. The musculature is natural, not 'cut' or horribly defined beyond the typical lines of bulk that grace his frame.

His facial features are striking; Piercing blue eyes are set above a strong, aquilene nose and full lips. His jaw is square. His gaze is calculating and observant, though his expression overall is one of relaxed ease. This is, perhaps, where the last vestige of normalcy tapers off.

His hair can best be described as 'wild', a thick black mane cut and styled to both frame his face as well as draw attention. The longest parts reach his mid-back, and these are drawn up into a high ponytail when he finds himself in armor.

He has piercings. Thin triple hoops adorn the back rim of each ear, forming a cuff of sorts. Gauges can be found in each lobe, though they are small. He has two rings in each eyebrow, a thin ring in his right nostril, and twin 'snake bite' piercings on his lower lip. Though not always visible, his tongue is pierced as well.

When in casual clothing, especially anything short-sleeved, tattoos are evident on his arms and breastbone, a mix of Draenic and Elven runes and intricate tribal designs.

Brief History Description:
His mother is a Theramore noble, his father a former Lordaeron noble and paladin. Nathaen was born in Theramore and raised in Stormwind, spending summers in the harbor-town of his birth. Educated in martial combat as well as more typical subjects, Nathaen became a reservist with the Stormwind Guard at 16. He served for a short time before moving with his family to Theramore, and there he joined the Bastion, a regiment of Theramore's military. With Theramore's fall, Nathaen has found himself the sole remainder of his former regiment and has dedicated himself to the causes of the fallen.

Important Quirks:
Nathaen holds his own religious views, has a somewhat defiant attitude regarding social norms and traditions, and is a very three dimensional character. He has moods, makes decisions, and may carve his own paths. Fuck life-like characters.

What do you have to offer to the Vanguard, and which contingent are you looking to join?
I am a tank, a leader, and an experienced RPer. I will be heading the Aegis of Lordaeron, as well as the Vanguard as a whole, both ICly and OOCly.

Brief Appearance Description:
The armored male stands at perhaps an inch or two above average, his build that of a practiced athlete. He walks with the gait and confidence of a man sure of his place in the world; Head held high and shoulders back.

His canvas of olive skin is unmarred by scarring, a natural, genetic tan in color. His hair follows suit of his dark complexion; Dark brown hair rests in gentle curls and soft waves, though he rarely allows his hair to grow past chin-length.

His features are what some would consider handsome, but most would consider harsh. His brows at set in somewhat of a furrow over observant brown eyes, lending to a calculating expression. His nose is aquiline in shape, slightly large for the rest of his features, and rests above full lips. His face shape is long, his jaw defined and cheekbones angular.

His typical regalia, whether armor or casual wear, is in immaculate condition. His armor is polished and unscratched, his clothing pressed until crisp and always impeccably clean.

The jewellery he wears is simple. An expensive chain of golden links rests heavily on his collarbone, and a single ring of gold and obsidian is worn on his right ring finger.
